I have been involved in home staff recruitment right from the start of my career. Since a babycare nurse is the first person to care for a newborn baby, parents have long asked for my help and guidance to find their long term carer and very often a longer term baby nurse following my departure.

I have the enviable advantage over most nanny agencies out there in that I have lived and worked in family homes (and still do, on occasion). So I know what is expected of both the parents and the carer and how vital it is to find the right person for the right job. We know that continuity of care for children is essential so hiring the right baby nurse or nanny will mean that your children have security and consistency in their care.

The nannies and baby nurses who register with me tell me that they love the service I give them, as I truly understand and appreciate what it is to be in their shoes which is why they continue to recommend me to their friends and families they work for. This means I have no advertising for the recruitment side of the business because it is all based on referrals.

I get the best baby nurses, nannies and families coming to me through recommendation alone. I strive to offer a level of service that is not compromised. Since The New Mummy Company is a small referral agency, you will deal with me and me only – I am the person who interviews the carers and deals direct with the families.

I offer a personal service to each and every child carer and family. Honesty is a priority to me in my services, so I will always be open with a family if I don’t have someone suitable for them or with a childcarer if I don’t think they are suitable for a particular role. This ensures that the best possible match is made at all times, and that it is less likely that there will be any issues post-placement. Our aim is to get it right first time every time on each placement.
